Open the Internet Setup Assistant
  • Click on the Hard drive icon on the desktop, then click on the folder call Applications.
  • From there click on Utilities and then click on Assistants. There should be an icon for Internet Setup Assistant.
  • Click on this icon and it will bring up the assistant that will guide you through setting up your connection.
  • Click the "Yes" button to display the second window of the Internet Setup Assistant.
  • "Do you already have an Internet account?" -- Click "Yes"

Introduction

  • Click the right arrow to continue.

Configuration name and connection type

  • Name of configuration: (you can name it whatever you like, we recommend calling it Wyoming.com)
  • "How will you be connecting to the Internet?" -- Click on "Modem"
  • Click the right arrow to continue.

Configuration Information

  • The phone number to access the Internet is provided on your Account Information Sheet from Wyoming.com. It is listed as "local dial" on the Account Information Sheet.
  • The user id for your account is provided on your Account Information Sheet from Wyoming.com.
  • The password for your account is provided on your Account Information Sheet from Wyoming.com
  • Click the right arrow to continue.


PPP Connect Scripts

  • "Does your ISP require that you use a PPP Connect Script" -- Click "No"
  • Click the right arrow to continue.

IP Address

  • Click "No".
  • Click the right arrow to continue.

Domain Name Servers

  • DNS Addresses: 206.54.112.1 & 199.190.151.1 (do not put the "&" on the screen)
  • Domain name: Wyoming.com
  • Click the right arrow to continue.

Email address and password

  • Email address: jdoe@Wyoming.com (replace jdoe with the user ID issued to you on your Account Inform Sheet from Wyoming.com)
  • Email password: your password (issued to you on your Account Information Sheet from Wyoming.com)
  • Quoting character: > (leave the ">" as shown)
  • Click the right arrow to continue.

E-mail Account and host computer

  • Email account: jdoe@mail.Wyoming.com (replace jdoe with the user ID issued to you on your Account Information Sheet from Wyoming.com)
  • Email host: mail.Wyoming.com
  • Click the right arrow to continue

Newsgroup Host Computer

  • NNTP: news.Wyoming.com
  • Click the right arrow to continue.

Proxy server window

  • Click "No"
  • Click the right arrow to continue

Conclusion window

  • Click on "Go Ahead"

Connecting to the Internet

  • Open Apple Menu.
  • Open Control Panel
  • Open Remote Access
  • Click Connect.

Disconnecting from the Internet

  • Open or switch to Remote Access or Remote Access Status. "Disconnect".
